>>> 5.26.07 - Horsey Hundred Century

Description: A century ride loop in Georgetown, Kentucky.
When: May, 2007
Distance: 101 miles
Elevation Gain: (anybody know?)
Information: Bluegrass Cyling Club - www.bgcyling.org

Review: This was my second Horsey Hundred. This time I rode with my buddy Keith, who recently finished an Ironman in Arizona. No wonder he gapped me at 45 miles.

This is a difficult century and if it's hot and humid, it just adds to the challenge. The scenery is beautiful, traversing the best Thoroughbred horse farms in the industry. The terrain, as I mentioned before, is very hilly and rolls from beginning to end.

I had a tough time on this one. I was in better shape but went out a little quick up some of the first hills. If your in Kentucky in May, there's nothing like experiencing the Derby AND the Horsey Hundred.
